From our workshop to the wild, we build campers made for the road ahead.
Every build starts with a conversation. We want to get to know how you travel and what you’re looking for in your dream setup. From there, we work together to turn your ideas into a build that feels right for you and ready for the road.
The steps.

Curious about what goes into a Rover Build? Our Build Booklet is the best place to start. It walks you through how we work, from layout ideas and materials to the step-by-step process, costs & product options. It’s a relaxed, informative guide to help you imagine your own bespoke build taking shape.
You can choose to receive it by email or have a printed copy posted straight to you, just send us your details and we’ll make it happen!
-
Every build begins with a proper conversation. We like to sit down with you, in person over a coffee, or on a call to talk about your ideas. This is where we start to understand your priorities: how you’ll use the space, what kind of adventures you have in mind, and what features really matter to you!
If you’re still searching for the right Land Rover, we can also help with sourcing. As specialists in Defenders, we’ll guide you through the best models, engines, and setups for your needs. [We only offer this service for Land Rovers]
This first chat is relaxed but important, it helps us shape a vision that feels right for you before any design work begins!
-
Once we’ve got a good sense of what you’re after, we start sketching ideas. Every Rover Build is unique, so this stage is where we explore layouts, storage solutions, materials, finishes, and mechanical upgrades. We’ll talk you through different options and help you decide what fits your style and way of travelling.
This stage is where ideas come to life. We’ll explore fabric and wood samples, finishes, Harris Tweed and leather upholstery options, and look over sketches and CAD designs together so you can see how your build will look and feel. It’s an exciting, hands-on stage where everything starts to come together.
-
After our initial design conversation, we’ll create a detailed quote outlining materials, labour, and parts. Once you’re happy to move forward, we take a deposit to secure your build slot in our workshop schedule. Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project and our current workload, but once the design is confirmed, we’ll give you a clear estimate of how long your build will take.
-
With everything agreed, we get to work bringing your build to life. Between us, we handle every stage in-house; from design and joinery to electrics, off-grid systems, and mechanical upgrades.
We’ll keep you in the loop as your build comes to life, from first cuts to final fittings. Expect photo updates, behind-the-scenes videos, and plenty of before-and-after moments as your vehicle transforms in the workshop!
-
Once the build is complete, it’s time for the exciting part… handover day! From the electrical and off-grid systems to storage features and basic maintenance, we want you to drive away feeling confident, knowing exactly how everything works.
Many of our clients make a trip of it, we’re only a short drive from the coast & Dartmoor National Park, with some of the best camp spots in the South West, perfect for your first night away!
-
Our relationship doesn’t end when you collect your keys. Whether you’re planning upgrades, need a tune-up before a big trip, or just want advice, we’re here to help. We offer servicing, mechanical work [Land Rovers only] , and additional accessories to keep your Rover Build adventure-ready for years to come.
We also love hearing where your build takes you, send us photos of your adventures!
